Assistant Pathologist, Senior Morgue Technician
Did you know?
- The actual dissection of bodies is traditionally performed
by skilled morgue technicians, rather than by the doctors
themselves.
- The pathologists closely examine tissues removed from the
bodies, as well as the body as a whole, in order to make
accurate diagnoses and determine the cause and manner of death.
- Autopsy findings alone are often not enough to determine the
manner of death. Hence forensic pathologists must work
closely with law enforcement to gather the information that they
need to make an informed determination of the manner of death.
